DUSA Pharmaceuticals, a Sun Pharma Company, is a fully integrated specialty pharmaceutical company focused primarily on the development and marketing of its Levulan® photodynamic therapy (PDT) technology platform used in conjunction with its proprietary light source, the BLU-U® Blue Light Photodynamic Therapy Illuminator. Levulan Kerastick® in combination with the BLU-U is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of minimally to moderately thick actinic keratoses (AKs) of the face or scalp. We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to add to our growing team.

Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst at DUSA you will be providing analysis and reporting to senior management so that they have the necessary information for business decisions that have an impact on setting and realizing profit and business growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines, analyzes, and inputs financial information into the General Ledger System (Great Plains E-Enterprise).  Performs account maintenance and reconciliation where necessary. 
  • Supports Finance Management in month-end and quarter-end closes, including analysis and interpretation of financial statements, performance and key business metrics and business plans.  Assists in the development and timely preparation of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages that provide accurate financial data. 
  • Identifies accounting processes needing improvement and performs a leadership role on process improvement teams.  Analyzes operational processes and information; develops tests and implements improvements, adaptations or revisions in accounting system procedures.  
  • Serves as the Finance representative on multiple cross-functional projects teams.   Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.  
  • Maintains and performs analysis on R&D and Marketing projects including related commitment and contingency responsibilities.  Works closely with senior management and project managers to prepare meaningful analytical reports for decision making.
  • Performs line by line trend analyses and financial forecasts both monthly and quarterly, of sales, revenue and departmental actual to budgets results.  Creates and distributes internal reporting to various business partners across the company.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 Years of previous accounting\financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Strong attention to detail with expertise with Microsoft Office\Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills; strong team player who can effectively interface with all levels of DUSA personnel.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Advanced spreadsheet modeling capabilities
